Day Six: Drive to Pocatello, ID

Thursday, September 13, 2001

After checking out of Colter Bay Village, we headed to Pocatello, ID, where we had reservations at "Z" Bed and Breakfast to break the driving up into two days.  We stopped at a turnout just South of Colter Bay to get pictures of the clouds that had formed around the Tetons.

The Mural Room at Jackson Lake Lodge was so good, we stopped there for Breakfast.  The clouds had settled in over the Tetons by the time we finished breakfast.

We headed down Teton Park Road on our way to the South entrance, and stopped at Signal Mountain to enjoy the view from the summit.

We also stopped at the Jenny Lake Overlook and walked down to the waterline.

After lunch in Jackson Hole, we headed West though Logan Pass on our way to Pocatello. This was taken from the summit of the road, at Teton Pass (8,431 feet above sea level).

We arrived in Pocatello and, after getting a little turned around, finally found "Z" Bed and Breakfast.  Unfortunately, we arrived along with a big rainstorm, so we got a little wet getting into the B&B.  After the rain passed, we got some dinner and walked around the campus of the University of Idaho, and settled in.
